Yarn Along

6:00 AM

It is Wednesday again and that means it is time for the weekly yarn along.  I am joining with Ginny and everyone to share yarn and books.

Rather than bore you with updates on the never ending sock and scarf knitting, I have new yarn!  One of the moms at crafting is stash busting.  She gave me two skeins of this variegated blue yarn.  I'm hoping to whip out two hats for Children's Hospital.

I found this book on the airplane.  I've never read this author before and had never heard of his Kurt Wallander character.  I have noticed Wallander done by the BBC on Netflix so I've put it in my queue.    I am enjoying the read and I love a good murder thriller when I can't figure out where the author is headed with his clues.

Happy Yarn Along Wednesday!

  1. Such pretty yarn you were given Jen and how fun to find a new book to read. I haven't heard of Mankell either so you will have to let us know how it continues.

  3. That yarn looks so neat! I can't say I've ever knit with chinese yarn before. Alpaca/wool is one of the best blends ever.

  4. My coworker recently gave me a few BOXES of yarn from her mom's stash. I still need to pick through it and decide what I want but I'm looking forward to sharing the rest with my knitting friends. I love free yarn!
