Yarn Along

6:00 AM

Once again, joining in the weekly Yarn Along.  It's all about books and knitting.  Two of my favorite things.  What are we reading this week?

The Maggie B was one of my favorite books growing up.  It was very hard to find, so I ordered it on Amazon for Corrine.  We got it last week and have read it a couple of times.  I've only just started the book about Elmo.  I look forward to reading it since we are watching a lot of Sesame Street.

What am I knitting?  I finally got around to buying a longer set of circular needles to finish the Radiating Star Blanket.  Each row is taking longer to knit, so I'm guessing it will take a couple of weeks to finish.  But I've started another blanket that will be log cabin kind of blanket.  I'm not sure if it really has a name, but it will use up a lot of the stash in my stash box!  And I really like the randomness of the colors.  Basically I'm using yarn by how much I need for each stripe.  The Radiating Star Blanket is too big to fit in my suitcase, so I had to start another project.  Soon that blanket will be too big as well and I'll need to start something else!
Happy Yarn Along Wednesday!

I love that you are using your stash to knit a blanket and really should do the same here.
Have a lovely yarn along day.

  3. My little one LOVES Elmo. I'll have to check the book out she'd be thrilled. I've got tons of stash yarn that I know will never be anything. I like the idea of a stash blanket. I'll have to start that one of these days!
