Knitting This Week
6:00 AMIt's Wednesday again and that means it is time for the weekly yarn along! I am joining with Ginny and everyone to share yarn and books. I finally finished my two at a time, toe up, magic loop socks! In fact, I am wearing them right now! There are some mistakes, but they were essentially the first socks I've made two at a time and using magic loop. More practice is definitely needed. Eventually. I've really got to finish all of the current on the needle projects.
I just spent several days color coding my Sylvi sweater chart for the back and the hood. And that isn't even all of the chart symbols. I didn't color code the knit or purl stitches or even the k2tog or the SSK. I hope I haven't got in over my head with this pattern!

What is that in the picture? Is that the ballet cardigan? I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it Jen, just take it one stitch at a time.
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea of color coding the chart, I will remember that for
when I have a big chart.
I am finally on Goodreads :) I am Tracey~Clover.
That coding looks super complicated :) You'll do great with it though!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a gorgeous sweater - but very complicated. Color coding is a great idea! I can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! In answer to the question you left on my blog, I usually do top down socks so there is only the kitchener stitch as the bottom. The couple of times I have done toe up I used Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off which you can find on youtube.
ReplyDeleteI have a long list of what I want to read on GR and I have a kindle so I've been loading it up on the classics. I also made a new shelf on GR of books I own and want to read so I don't buy the same book---it happens! Love the coded chart!!
ReplyDeletei love goodreads, but i don't use it to queue books and makes lists....really should. great idea!!!
