Yarn Along

6:00 AM

It's Wednesday again, and that means it is time for the weekly yarn along.  While I have nothing new to share in the knitting department, I have a whole stack o'books.  Sunday I had some extra time at the computer and was able to put a large list of knitting books in my hold queue at the library.  These are just the ones I decided to keep and look at.  The other half of the stack is in the library pile.   And before you ask, no I'm not expecting.  But a very good friend of mine is and she is not having a good go of it.
I really thought I would have finished The Memory Thief by now.  I am so close.  I really like it.  It's kind of quirky but with the premise of the book it really makes sense.  Aidan is a mountain climber who dies in an avalanche at the beginning of the book.  His wife Maddie has asked him not to go on this expedition but he goes anyway promising he'll be back.  The day he dies, Nicolas is in a motorcycle accident and wakes up with amnesia...but he "dreams" of Maddie and Aidan.  I've got to know how it ends.

I might have more to update on the knitting front next week, but for know what is everyone knitting and reading?

Happy 4th of July!  Be safe.

  4. What to knit when you're expecting...haha I love it! Your book The Memory Thief does sound very interesting. I picked up a couple books at a yard sale a couple weeks ago so I need to get started on those (Memoirs of a Geisha and White Oleander).
