Knitting This Week

6:00 AM

It's Wednesday again and that means it is time for the weekly Yarn Along.  I'm joining with Ginny and everyone to share yarn and books.  I've made little progress on Hitofude, but it at least is looking like a sweater.  I may have to put it on hold next week.  The knitting mama's in our crafting group are going to the Interweave yarn show this weekend. We are looking at it as practice for Rhinebeck!  The mamas who are going to the yarn show are doing a stitch block cowl KAL.  My plan is to pick up yarn at the yarn show and then get started as soon as I get home!
With that being said, I started crocheting a scrap yarn baby blanket for my cousin who is expecting in October!  It should eat up a lot of scrap yarn and some stash yarn since I am doing a basketweave pattern.  I am crocheting it with a size P hook and three strands of yarn.
I finished reading Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street Brides.  I like reading Debbie Macomber books, they are a fun, fairly easy read, but the characters just seem like friends that I'd like to hang out with.  I just started reading The Cirque by Martin Van Pelt.  I've had it on my shelf for some time now and feel bad I've not started it sooner.  Martin was a pilot who I flew with many times and always enjoyed hearing his travel journeys.  I have not opinion yet as I'm only ten pages in.
Happy Yarn Along Wednesday.

  1. Oh yes, I would say the an Interweave show is good practice for Rhinebeck. Are you going to be knitting a Rhinebeck sweater?

  3. I love Debbie Macomber! I have read so many of her books. That is going to be a nice blanket with that stitch. I like it so far! Rhinebeck will be here before you know it.
